The Disabilty Outreach Committee (DOC) is a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit Organization. Our mission is to support and encourage the disabled in our community by providing services to help them live independently and enhance the quality of their lives.

We believe that serving the disabled and treating them with respect, love and fairness not only enhances their sense of self worth, but strengthens their respect for the community in which they live.

We have found that many disabled people in the community feel “invisible.” They may live in the same low-income apartment buildings, or because of the lack of transportation, they are home bound. As a result, many of their needs go unfulfilled.
DOC is committed to help people with disabilities become more mobile and fulfill their goals. We invite you to join us.

MEDIA RELEASE: DOC “SUB FOR SANTA” EVENT
The Disability Outreach Committee (DOC) is calling on local businesses to help raise the funds needed to sponsor our “Sub for Santa” Event for children with disabilites in our community. DOC’s goal is to sponsor 200 local disabled children, spending $200 per child.
DOC has enlisted high school football teams to gather at a local department store to shop for these children. Each child will receive a new coat, pair of shoes, a few outfits of clothing, as well as a few gifts for under the tree.
Families will be carefully screened and selected based on income level, home situations and any other circumstances that may apply.
We couldn't do it without community support~ thank you in advance for your donation!!
